I purchased the big book version of Think of an Eel - and wow. As a teacher of a 3/4 multiage class this was the perfect book to showcase how nonfiction text should be written.
The beautiful illustrations match perfectly with the text. The use of similes, alliterations, and just delicious, descriptive words make this book one not to pass up/5(8). This is a beautiful addition to Walker's 90s 'Read and Wonder' series whose function was to explore non-fiction texts for LKS2 yet, I think, this book does far more and is far greater than a simple factual recount of the lifecycle of an eel/5.
